Job description:

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Med Gas Plumber to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in plumbing, construction, and mechanical systems, with a focus on medical gas installations. This role involves working on commercial and healthcare projects, ensuring precise installation and adherence to safety standards. The Med Gas Plumber will collaborate with project managers, electricians, and other trades to deliver high-quality work on time and within specifications.

Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain medical gas systems in accordance with industry standards and blueprints
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation of piping and equipment
• Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment to assemble and secure piping systems
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on construction sites
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with safety protocols and project specifications
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to plumbing or mechanical systems
• Ensure all work meets local codes, safety regulations, and project deadlines
• Assist in remodeling or renovation projects involving plumbing or HVAC systems as needed

Qualifications

• ASSE 6010 certification
• Proven experience in construction plumbing, pipe threading, welding, and use of hand tools and power tools
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, schematics, HVAC, and mechanical principles
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately
• Construction site experience with familiarity in remodeling or commercial projects
• Mechanical knowledge related to pipe fitting, assembly, and system troubleshooting
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installations
• Experience with carpentry or handyman tasks is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
• Valid commercial driver’s license (preferred) for site access or material transport
• Prior experience working with medical gas systems is highly desirable
