The Docket is Full. We're Looking for a Litigator Who Wants It That Way. Mueller Christensen LLP is looking for a Mid-Senior Litigation Associate with 5+ years of experience, someone who walks into a deposition ready, argues a motion without flinching, and builds a caseload they're genuinely proud of. We are not looking for someone who needs to be handed a strategy. We are looking for the attorney who already has one; someone who can handle written discovery, law and motion, court appearances, and case management independently, while working closely with partners on the matters that demand it and mentoring junior attorneys who are still finding their footing. If you do your clearest thinking under a deadline, this might be your firm. Compensation & Benefits * Base salary: approximately $200,000 annually, depending on experience * Minimum billable requirement: 1,750 hours annually * Bonus eligibility under a fixed formula based on hours and performance * Retirement plan with firm matching * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * CLE and professional development support * Paid time off and firm holidays * Hybrid flexibility Compensation: $200,000 yearly based on experience Responsibilities: Mueller Christensen offers attorneys the chance to build a sophisticated practice with real client contact, genuine autonomy, and room to grow. Here is what this role looks like day to day: * Lead written discovery across active civil and probate matters * Take and defend depositions independently, with partner strategy support as needed * Draft, argue, and defend motions, including dispositive work, in state court * Appear in court prepared and composed, ready to advocate without a safety net * Manage cases from initial pleadings through resolution or trial, including deadlines, clients, and strategy * Supervise and develop junior attorneys on active matters Qualifications: * J.D. from an accredited law school * Active California Bar membership in good standing * At least 5 years of civil or probate litigation experience * Strong research, writing, and analytical skills * Experience managing cases and deadlines independently in a fast-paced environment * Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills About Company Mueller Christensen LLP is a growing boutique litigation firm based in Torrance, CA, with an additional office in Lake Forest.
