Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years NICU RN experience required. Provide expert neonatal care in a Level III NICU setting, supporting vulnerable infants and their families within a respected healthcare environment. This contract opportunity is based in Webb City, MO, near Joplin, at a well-established hospital known for its commitment to quality and advanced specialty services. Location Overview: Webb City, located just a short drive from Joplin, MO, offers a blend of small-town charm and access to cultural and recreational activities. Nearby attractions include Grand Falls, Cunningham Park, and the George A. Spiva Center for the Arts, providing a balanced lifestyle outside work hours. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver high-quality nursing care to neonatal patients in a 16-bed Level III NICU. * Manage complex neonatal cases including bubble CPAP, high flow oxygen therapy, and high-risk deliveries. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. * Maintain compliance with hospital protocols, including flu vaccination requirements during specified months. * Float periodically to mother/baby and pediatric units as needed. * Utilize EMR systems (EPIC) efficiently for documentation and communication. Qualifications & Desired Experience: * Active RN license with 3+ years experience in a Level III or higher NICU. * Required certifications: BLS (AHA only) and NRP. * Preferred certification: NIHSS. * Proven skills in managing critical neonatal care interventions. * Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills. * Positive, team-oriented attitude with initiative. * Adherence to dress code: black scrubs only, with approved attire. Schedule: * Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 PM). * Weekend rotation typically every other weekend. * Call as required by the facility. Additional Information: * This is a contract role. * Patients cared for are neonatal, with nurse-to-patient ratios typically 1:2 or 1:3. * Flu vaccination required from November 1 to April 1 (client exceptions apply). * The hospital has earned a B grade in the Fall 2024 Hospital Safety Grade and holds multiple prestigious recognitions, including CMS 3-Star Rating and Level 2 Trauma Center designation.
