Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technician

Location: Athens, Georgia 30606 โ€” On-site

Pay: $61.59 per hour

Type: Contract | On-site

Department: Nuclear Medicine

Shift: 07:00 - 15:30, Monday to Friday, 8 Hours/5 Days, 40 Hours per week

Note: Non-local candidates only. Candidate must reside at least 60 miles from the facility.

Job Summary

We are seeking a certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging procedures in a hospital setting. The NMT will prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate gamma cameras and SPECT/CT equipment, and produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols
  • Operate gamma cameras, SPECT, and SPECT/CT equipment
  • Perform a full range of nuclear medicine studies including cardiac, bone, thyroid, and oncology imaging
  • Ensure radiation safety compliance for patients, staff, and the environment
  • Maintain accurate records of radiopharmaceutical receipt, use, and disposal
  • Collaborate with nuclear medicine physicians and clinical staff
Requirements
  • ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) or NMTCB certification required
  • Active state licensure or eligibility in Georgia
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of nuclear medicine clinical experience
  • Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility โ€” local candidates will not be considered
