Order Management Specialist The Order Management Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of customer orders. This position is responsible for managing the order entry workflow, coordinating with internal teams, and maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity located in Addison, IL. Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter customer orders accurately into the system and prepare necessary documentation for production.
  • Communicate estimated shipping dates to customers via email.
  • Handle incoming phone calls and direct them appropriately.
  • Manage office supply orders and match invoices to purchase orders.
  • Record actual freight charges in the system and forward details to Accounts Payable.
  • Send shipment confirmations to Accounts Receivable for invoicing.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for order-related documents.
  • Promptly addresses internal and external requests and follows through on commitments.
  • Demonstrates clear verbal and written communication; listens actively and responds effectively.
  • Collaborates well with others, values team success, and contributes to a positive work environment.
  • Maintains respectful and ethical behavior, takes responsibility for actions, and upholds company values.
  • Makes sound decisions, sets ambitious goals, and persists through challenges.
  • Prioritizes tasks, manages time efficiently, and ensures accuracy in work.
  • Responds well to change, meets deadlines, and maintains consistent attendance.
Qualifications:
  • At least one year of experience in order entry or customer service.
  • Strong communication skills and a confident phone presence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and write clear reports and correspondence.
  • Basic math skills including fractions, percentages, and data analysis.
  • Logical problem-solving and ability to simplify complex issues.
  • Comfortable using office equipment and software including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
  • Contract to Hire
  • 100% onsite
  • Pay is $20-$23 an hour, depending on experience
