Position Highlights

- Shift Details: 9:30am-6:00pm - 2 weekdays (flexible with days) and every Saturday required
Position Summary:
The Pathologists' Assistant, under general direction, collects and prepares surgical specimens for examination; dictates gross anatomic features of specimens; assists with dissection and preparation of tissue sections; photographs organs and specimens; dictates clinical summaries and gross autopsy findings; assists in preparation of preliminary diagnoses; assists in and oversees proper maintenance and operation of instruments and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters Degree
- ASCP certification as a Pathologist Assistant
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of relevant experience, to include Frozen Sections
- Knowledge of current AP Laboratory Information System
