Job Description
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with New York City H + H | Queens and Elmhurst has an exciting opportunity for a Speech Pathologist in the department of Otolaryngology.
Opportunity to perform swallowing and language/communication assessment and treatment as a part of a truly multidisciplinary team on all units of the hospital with patients with various etiologies at Elmhurst and Queens. Coverage for a maternity leave that would entail weekends, holidays, and during staffing shortages. The hospital is accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey and Long Island.
Candidates must have a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, a valid New York State License, and Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Qualified candidates should have strong clinical abilities with one year of acute care experience preferred; as well as exemplary communication and interpersonal skills.
