*Overview* We are seeking a highly motivated clinician to join our team to care for patients in our endocrinology clinic with a focus on diabetes education. As our primary diabetes educator, you will be working primarily with our endocrinology team (physician, NP, PA and other staff) taking care of Type I & Type II diabetics of all ages as well as women with gestational diabetes. This position will be focused on educating patients to improve clinical outcomes and quality of life. *Duties* * Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate dietary needs and nutritional status. * Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans tailored to each patient's specific health conditions. * Collaborate with the endocrinology team to teach lifestyle modification, diabetes self management, and healthy nutrition habits to improve patient quality of life. * Monitor and assess the effectiveness of nutrition interventions and blood glucose management, making adjustments as necessary. * Generate reports regarding patient attendance, compliance, and outcomes related to services provided. *Requirements* * Bachelors degree in Dietetics from an accredited institution. * Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential and state licensure is required. * Experience in hospital settings or long-term care facilities is preferred. * Strong skills in patient assessment and the ability to develop effective nutrition plans. * Knowledge of diabetic nutrition needs and challenges associated with health literacy and compliance. * Familiarity with blood glucose management, insulin provision, and adaptable education techniques. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate diverse patient populations. * Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. * Passion for promoting health through nutrition education. *Preferred Qualifications* * Experience working with diabetes self-management * CDCES or willing to obtain when eligible *Additional Benefits:* * Competitive Pay * Opportunity for no-cost health insurance * Opportunity for student loan repayment assistance * Opportunity for advanced practice certification and reimbursement Join our team as a Dietitian where you can make a meaningful impact on the lives of residents through tailored nutritional care!
