  • $12,000 for therapists with 0–1 year of experience (2-year commitment)

  • $20,000 for therapists with 1+ years of experience (2-year commitment)

 What You’ll Do:

\n

As a Respiratory Therapist, you’ll provide life-saving care and support to patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. You’ll work under physician direction to deliver advanced therapies and interventions across a variety of settings, including:

\n
    \n
  • Operating Rooms (OR), Emergency Department (ED), Cath Lab, and Transport
  • \n
  • Administering Nitric Oxide (NO), Tracheal Gas Insufflation (TGI), and mechanical ventilation
  • \n
  • Performing bronchoscopy, ABG lab troubleshooting, pulmonary function tests, EEG, EKG, stress testing, and more
  • \n
  • Leading respiratory care procedures and mentoring students and staff
  • \n
  • Responding to code situations and assisting with patient transport
  • \n
\n

You may also serve as a Lead Respiratory Therapist when needed, supporting team coordination and clinical excellence.

  • Must be a graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care program.
  • \n
  • Associate’s degree is preferred.
  • \n
      \n
    • If you do not have an Associate’s degree, you must meet one of the following:
    • \n
    • Have 5 to 7 years of respiratory care experienceor
    • \n
    • Hold a National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification.
    • \n
    \n
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • \n
  • Must have at least 2 years of total respiratory care experience, including 1 year in critical care.
  • \n
  • Within 3 months of hire, you must select and get approval for one department-approved project.
  • \n
      \n
    • This project must be completed during each annual performance review period.
    • \n
    \n

Licensure, Certifications & Clearances:

\n

All Employees:

\n

  • Must have CPR certification that meets AHA standards, including both classroom and hands-on components, within 30 days of hire.
  • \n
\n

If Practicing in Pennsylvania:

\n
    \n
  • Must have a valid Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in Pennsylvania.
  • \n
  • Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certified by the NBRC.
  • \n
      \n
    • If you earned your RRT after July 1, 2002, you must maintain certification per NBRC requirements.
    • \n
    \n

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • \n
  • Osteopathic Respiratory Care OR Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP)
  • \n
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
  • \n
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • \n
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • \n
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
