This is a hybrid role based in our New York City headquarters, reporting to the Senior Director of Strategy and Production. You can typically expect to come into the office 3 days per week.

Key ResponsibilitiesPlanning and Execution
  • Plan and facilitate New York Times Events, building timelines, estimates, and Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Contribute to the creative process by assessing feasibility of proposed solutions and recommending new technologies and methods.
Project and Stakeholder Management
  • Manage projects from initiation through deployment, communicating status to the team and stakeholders.
  • Create a hotlist for the working team and write recaps of all internal and external meetings.
  • Oversee and adjust resources and project priorities, communicating changes and potential impacts.
Business and Administrative Management
  • Submit and monitor project costs to ensure accurate expense and invoice tracking.
  • Provide Finance with executed SOWs and invoices with billing instructions.
  • Manage freelancers and vendors, client expectations, and deliverables in collaboration with production and sales partners.
Operational Excellence
  • Oversee logistical aspects of event planning, including timeline, budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget while meeting department standards of work.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in event production and project management.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-location, and multi-discipline projects.
  • Experience supporting large-scale events and activations.
  • Experience with Project Accounting.
  • Experience navigating complex organizational structures.
  • High-level creativity, strong planning and organizational skills, and commitment to learning.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual base pay range for this role is $110,000 - $120,000 USD. For roles in the U.S., you may be eligible for variable pay, such as an annual bonus and restricted stock. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Accounts, a company-matching 401(k) plan, paid vacation, paid sick days, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement and professional development programs. For roles outside the U.S., benefit information will be provided during the interview process.
