Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. This opportunity is for a registered nurse skilled in stepdown care, offering a dynamic role in a healthcare setting that focuses on patients transitioning from intensive care to standard nursing care. Your expertise in assessing and managing patients who require close monitoring will be highly valued. Location: Natchez, MS Natchez is a charming city known for its rich history, beautiful antebellum architecture, and vibrant community. Located along the Mississippi River, it offers a blend of cultural experiences and Southern hospitality, making it a pleasant setting to work and live. Responsibilities: * Provide exceptional nursing care to stepdown patients, closely monitoring vital signs and responding to changes in condition * Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans * Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and standards * Utilize critical thinking skills to assess and intervene in patient care situations promptly * Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and interventions Qualifications / Desired Experience: * Current RN licensure with proven experience in stepdown nursing * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required * Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred; these can be obtained on-site within the first three weeks if not already held * Permanent address located at least 50 miles from the facility * Ability to work extended day shifts from 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. Schedule/Hours: * Days: 6:45 a.m. 7:15 p.m. This contract role spans approximately 13 weeks, designed for nurses eager to apply their specialized skills in a supportive setting. Immediate start is available for qualified candidates who meet all requirements.
