Job Description Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse with OR experience to support surgical services in a rural three-room operating room. This contract position is based in Lily, KY, providing care across a broad range of surgical specialties including Orthopedics, Spine, OB/Gyn, Vascular, General Surgery, GI Endoscopy, Podiatry, and ENT. The role handles complex cases such as total joints, amputations, C-sections in the OR, and vascular surgeries including carotid procedures. EPIC charting is utilized for documentation, and on-call duties are part of the schedule. Qualifications / Desired Experience: * Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience * Current RN license; Compact license accepted * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required * Surgical Service Nurse (SSN) certification required * Drug and alcohol screening (DOB) required prior to placement * Comfortable working in a rural healthcare setting * Experience with multi-specialty surgical cases preferred Responsibilities / Duties: * Provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care in a multidisciplinary OR environment * Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow * Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health records * Participate in on-call rotation to cover surgical services as needed * Support surgical procedures ranging from total joint replacements to vascular and OB/Gyn surgeries Location Insight: Lily, KY, is a tight-knit rural community that offers a peaceful lifestyle surrounded by scenic natural beauty.
