In 2026, Shining Star Community Services is expanding our specialized foster care program — and we urgently need dedicated therapeutic foster parents like you to open your heart and home to children and teens who need extra understanding, structure, and healing.
Many kids in our community have experienced trauma, face emotional or behavioral challenges, or require therapeutic support while awaiting permanency or adoption. They're resilient, full of potential, often funny, creative, and eager for stability — but they need caregivers trained and supported to help them thrive.
As a *therapeutic foster parent* with Shining Star, you'll provide a nurturing, trauma-informed environment where children can heal, grow, and build trust. This isn't ordinary fostering — it's deeply rewarding work that changes lives (including yours).
