Job Description

Job DescriptionPosition Summary

As a Tier 1 Helpdesk Technician, you will be the first point of contact for customer support issues. You’ll provide troubleshooting for common technical problems, assist with user onboarding, and ensure issues are documented and resolved—or escalated when needed. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in IT and grow within a supportive MSP environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Respond to support tickets via phone, email, and chat.
  • Troubleshoot workstation, software, and basic networking issues.
  • Resolve Microsoft 365 issues.
  • Perform account setups, password resets, and software installations.
  • Document all work in the ticketing system clearly and accurately.
  • Escalate advanced technical issues to higher-tier technicians.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and communicate updates promptly.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Basic IT support knowledge (Windows OS, workstation hardware, common business apps).
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow troubleshooting procedures.
  • Organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent.
  • Experience working for an MSP or in a technical support role.
  • Familiarity with RMM/PSA tools.
