American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Atlanta, Georgia.Job Description & Requirements * Specialty: OR - Operating Room * Discipline: RN * Start Date: 05/18/2026 * Duration: 13 weeks * 40 hours per week * Shift: 10 hours, days * Employment Type: TravelAssignment Overview * Shift: Days, 4x10hrs * Hours: 40 hrs/wk * Start Date: May 18, 2026 * Length: 13 weeks * Openings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring prior travel experience and Level 1 trauma OR background.Details * 10-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM - 5:15 PM * 4 shifts per week * Operating Room in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and high-volume cases * Weekend coverage required - travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month * Holiday coverage required * Call shifts required * Block scheduling is not approved for this unit * No on-call ratio or scheduled on-call responsibilities beyond call shiftsRequirements * Active Georgia (GA) RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand * Current BLS certification required * Previous travel nursing experience required * Level 1 trauma OR experience required, with a demonstrated background in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments * Experience managing critical, fast-paced OR cases in high-volume hospitals with diverse and severe patient populations * Strong OR skills checklist ratings required * Burn OR experience preferred * Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be consideredAdditional Information * This facility accepts local candidates * Block scheduling is not available - travelers must be flexible with scheduling * The OR serves a diverse, high-acuity inner-city trauma population with complex and challenging surgical casesAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-698770.
