Overview:
Works with the Maintenance foreman to effectively maintain chemical levels in pools at Oceans of Fun.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operate chemical controller, feeder pumps, sampling pumps.
Control the free, total, combined chlorine level and pH using appropriate chemicals.
Test pool water and maintain records.
Operate and backwash rapid sand filters.
Operate water vacuum systems to clean screens
Clean basket strainers on pumps; clean skimmer baskets.
Operate water valves to control water flow for filtration and attraction pumps.
Provides guest service according to Six Flags’ standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Six Flags’ Safety guidelines and requirements and report all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
Meets Six Flags’ attendance requirements as outlined in Six Flags’ attendance policies.
Adheres to Six Flags’ Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee
Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

Minimum Age:
At Least 18 Years of Age
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to understand English at a level sufficient to receive and perform basic job assignments and instructions.
