Production Control Analyst

SummaryThe Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient scheduling of production activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, and enforcing safety standards. This role involves coordinating with production teams, monitoring equipment performance, and adjusting schedules to meet service level agreements (SLAs) while fostering a safe and productive work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assist with incident and accident reporting and investigations.
- Ensure safe working conditions and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
- Lead by example in promoting a safe and efficient workplace.
- Monitor and schedule job tickets based on machine capacity, Takt time, and SLAs.
- Review and monitor inventory requirements for job tickets.
- Monitor production performance and plant load for current and future projects.
- Track equipment downtime and adjust schedules accordingly.
- Update plant load, roll sizes, and ODS numbers as needed.
- Communicate schedule changes to the production team and involve Customer Service Management (CSM) when required.
- Notify CSM when job tickets are in danger of missing SLA deadlines.
- Collaborate with other Production Control Managers to coordinate capacity and equipment availability.
- Participate in daily production meetings and provide production schedules to leadership based on equipment capacity and efficiencies.
- Adjust production schedules as needed, aligning with performance and available capacity.
- Follow up on hold jobs and ensure effective communication to relevant stakeholders.
- Review backlog and pickups to reschedule job tickets as necessary.
- Attend meetings as directed by the Senior Manager, Production Control.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production and operational goal
- Proven experience in production scheduling or operations management.
- Strong knowledge of safety standards and compliance practices.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze performance metrics and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools for scheduling and inventory management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Takt time and SLA-driven environments.
- Familiarity with production control systems and lean manufacturing principles.
Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work may be performed in an office, warehouse and/or manufacturing environment. Requires the ability to perform the following activities for the majority of the day: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb. In addition requires the ability to lift and/or push up to 10 pounds. May be exposed to noise and be required to wear hearing protection for the duration of the shift.
