Job Description

Johnson Service Group is seeking a Assistant Engineer to work in the Los Angeles area.

Schedule: 9/80 work week, 7:00am – 4:45pm with every other Friday off. 

Pay range: $47.00 - $53.00 per hour

The Assistant Engineer I will work in a very busy team-oriented environment. The Assistant Engineer I responsibilities will provide support to PWSC for energy and cost analysis, address CAISO metering deficiencies, provide support and cross-training for NERC cy6ersecurity related compliance requirements, and revenue enhancement efforts (see attached justification memo). 

• Prioritize work assignments, be detail oriented and have strong communication skills.
• Work collaboratively with coworkers, perform administrative duties, and demonstrate critical thinking skills. 
• Execute mathematical, statistical, and other models or participate on a project team and may perform other related Engineer job duties as required.
• Assist with planning, coordinating, conducting, and monitoring tests, studies, and investigations.
• Preparing technical documents, reports, and presentations.
• Assist with technical analyses.
• Prepare cost estimates and budgets.
• Learn and assist with site inspections.
• Maintaining official records, documents, and data.

Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field by hired date.
• GENERAL REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE OF: Engineering principles and practices in specific discipline; and current office technology and equipment.
• GENERAL REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES TO: Analyze and interpret data; organize; problem solve; prioritize and multi-task; communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work; work independently and in a team environment; and operate current office equipment including computers and supporting applications.
• Personable, Team Player, Flexible, Multitask and handles pressure well.
• Detail orient, Organized, Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills a must.
