JOB SUMMARY
At Mr. Sparky West OC, we're building a team of professional residential electricians who take pride in their craft, communicate well with customers, and believe safety comes first.
This position performs and coordinates the installation and service of electrical products and services in a residential and light commercial setting.
General Accountabilities
Plans new or modified installations to provide access for future maintenance and avoid unsightly and hazardous wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.
Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit.
Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps.
Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
Use the Straight Forward Pricing Guide, accurately present repair or installation options, and complete safety inspections
Educate homeowners on findings and recommendations. Present multiple repair and upgrade options that fit the customer's needs
Job Qualifications
3+ years of residential electrician experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Clean driving record
Ability to communicate effectively to clients about issues and provide accurate solutions
Must have local and state licenses as needed
Skills
Communication with clients in household environment; Troubleshooting; Repairing; Judgment and decision making; Critical thinking
