Job Title: Contract Dental Assistant Location: Tallahassee, FL, 32301 Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract Schedule: - Monday to Friday - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM - 40 hours per week We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team in Tallahassee, FL, on a federal contract basis. The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited dental assistant school and possess strong skills to assist in dental procedures and patient care. This position offers great pay, paid time off (PTO), sick time off (STO), paid holidays, and an hourly health and wellness stipend.Key Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures - Set up and breakdown operatory post-treatment - Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) - Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment - Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures - Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health - Perform office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer - Communicate with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies) - Assist in the management of medical and dental emergencies - Provide postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist - Maintain a clean and professional environment Qualifications: - Graduation from an accredited dental assistant program - Current BLS/CPR certification - Strong communication and organizational skills - Ability to work effectively in a team environment - Proficiency in dental practice management software is a plus - Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and patient care Benefits: - Competitive hourly pay - Paid Time Off (PTO) - Sick Time Off (STO) - Paid holidays - Hourly health and wellness stipend JOB-10912Shelly woodyOne Stop Recruiting is an equal opportunity employer.
