In close collaboration with the Director of Engineering and other directors of the department, sets strategic product vision for the Family History Department and FamilySearch International, in alignment with the department's purposes.
Translates FamilySearch's vision and strategic priorities into a unified global product strategy, in partnership with senior leadership.
Oversees all aspects of product management practices, ensuring they align with FamilySearch's mission, strategic outcomes, and executive expectations.
This role is accountable for the performance and development of product managers and UX designers, the integrity of product roadmaps, and the maturity of continuous discovery practices across the organization.
In close collaboration with the Director of Global Engagement, guides the external-facing user experience strategy.
Ensures interoperability with over 100 industry partners and collaborators.
In close collaboration with the Director of Engineering, establishes and maintains sound business practices for software development that support organizational goals.
Serves as an ambassador of our Quality Standards: Inspiration, Trust, Kindness, Effectiveness, and Simplicity.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, marketing, or related field. Master's degree (MS or MBA) preferred.
At least 15 years of cumulative experience in any of the following: product management, product marketing, software development, user experience, or advanced technology.
Deep understanding of product management best practices, agile development, rapid learning, iteration and prototyping, customer experience journey mapping, opportunity solution tree (OST) proficiency, and UX design competencies.
Extensive budget management experience and sound business judgment.
