Job Description If you have prior experience working in a fast-paced, kitchen production environment and want to work around unique and high quality products, then this Full-Time Prep Cook/ Assistant role may be a great fit for you! A local craft confectionery company that makes artisanal, infused candies is hiring a Full-Time Prep Cook for their production facility ahead of their busy season. You are a good fit for this role if you are someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and has previous experience in a professional kitchen or bakery setting. Full-Time Prep Cook Responsibilities: * Clean and sanitize all food prep areas and equipment. * Assist in preparation of food products. * Tasks include but are not limited to: * Measuring and scaling candy ingredients * Cutting up candied fruit to place in molds * Pouring and scraping hot candy mixture into molds * Work with kitchen team to meet company standards, food safety and Liquor & Cannabis Board compliance. Full-Time Prep Cook Requirements: * Prior experience in food production or commercial kitchen setting (Confectionery production or baking experience in a busy kitchen is a huge plus) * Able to keep up with fast & repetitive tasks. * Comfortable lifting 50lbs regularly. * Must have a current valid WA Food Worker Card.
