Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various pharmacy settings, including LTC (Long-Term Care) and hospital environments. Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
• Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
• Perform intake procedures, including gathering patient information and verifying prescriptions.
• Utilize aseptic technique for IV infusion preparation and administration of medications.
• Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient care activities.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes in acute care settings.
• Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare team.
• Support critical care initiatives by managing medication inventory and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Requirements

• Previous pharmacy technician experience is required; LTC pharmacy experience is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with IV infusion processes and aseptic techniques is essential.
• Experience in hospital or acute care settings is preferred.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care.
