Preserve is a service-focused, seasonally driven restaurant in downtown Annapolis. We are looking for an experienced prep chef to join our kitchen team. This position plays a key role in daily operations, ensuring consistency, organization, and quality across all prep and production. The right candidate will be self-motivated, detail oriented, and comfortable working independently while maintaining strong communication with the chef team.
Schedule Wednesday through Sunday, 7 AM to 5 PM Closed on major holidays
Compensation $20 to $22 per hour depending on experience

Skills and Expectations• Confident knife work, including precise brunoise of red onion and other fine vegetable prep• Basic butchery, including fish and meat portioning for service• Strong understanding of prep organization, labeling, and rotation• Ability to follow recipes with consistency and accuracy• Familiarity with sauce, stock, and dressing production• Comfortable working independently while maintaining pace and cleanliness• Excellent time management and communication with the chef team
