Mercy Me is a South American restaurant, bar, and lounge nestled within Yours Truly Lobby, a part of the Unordinary Hospitality Group. Job Description
The Support Staff assists servers in delivering food to the proper table at the right time, clearing dirty plates and silverware, responding to other guest needs, and any other tasks that contribute to the smooth flow of the shift.
Responsibilities
• Check food for accuracy, presentation and temperature prior to removing it from the window
• Deliver food to tables promptly
• Answer questions about the food if ask guest asks
• Pre-bus soiled plates from guest tables
• Tidy work stations and expo area
• Understand restaurant layout in order for food to be delivered correctly
Working Conditions
• Stand for the entirety of scheduled shift
• Walk/move around the restaurant for the majority of scheduled shift
• Be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Be able to hold warm plates in order to deliver food to guests in a timely fashion
Skills
• Strong verbal skills
• Strong knowledge of menu items
• Ability to move quickly to ensure food is delivered promptly and that food in the window doesn’t sit for longer than expected
Education/Experience

Compensation

The Support Staff in our team can expect to earn between $19 and $22 per hour, depending on the food & beverage knowledge along with past work experience in high rated restaurants. We're committed to providing all team members with consistent, higher-than-average industry standard resulting in better work envoriment

Responsibilities

  • Familiarize yourself with our menu, including current specials and South American cuisine in general. We'll provide all the information you need
  • Participate in peer-led food & beverage training to learn about cocktails, beer, wine, and coffee.
  • Be active on the floor, assisting with tasks like clearing and setting tables if needed
  • Collaborate with co workers to enhance the guest experience by helping with all aspects of service.
  • Manage your assigning server sections, ensuring every guest receives top-notch service.
  • Guide, mentor, and motivate your fellow service team members.
  • Keep your work area clean and organized, following sanitation and hygiene guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and other beverages.
  • Familiarity with classic cocktails & wine.
  • Previous experience in a highly-rated restaurant is preferred.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in presentation.
  • Strong organizational skills for multitasking.
  • Effective communication skills,Teamwork, humility, and collaboration.
  • Positive attitude with a problem-solving approach.
  • Self-motivated and self-aware.
  • Comfortable working in a busy environment.
  • Initiative and a sense of urgency.

  • Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
