*Position Overview*
We are seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to manage a personal injury caseload from intake through settlement or trial. This position requires strong litigation skills, independent judgment, and a client-centered mindset. First year associates are welcome to apply.
The ideal candidate is confident in the courtroom, comfortable negotiating with insurance carriers, and capable of driving case value through strategic case development. If first year associate -- Trial team experience preferred.
*Duties*
* Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from retention through resolution
* Work closely with a case manager to maintain caseload
* Evaluate liability and damages
* Develop case strategies to maximize recovery
* Prepare demand packages and negotiate settlements
* Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
* Prepare and respond to written discovery
* Take and defend depositions
* Draft and argue motions
* Attend mediations, hearings, and court appearances
* Collaborate with experts (medical, accident reconstruction, economic)
* Prepare cases for trial
*Client Relations*
* Maintain consistent communication with clients
* Advise clients on case progress and strategy
* Prepare clients for deposition, mediation, and trial
*Qualifications*
* Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
* Active member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia
* 1–5 years of experience in personal injury (litigation experience preferred, or first year associate that was on Trial team in law school)
* Strong writing and research skills
* Experience taking or defending depositions preferred
* Trial experience is a plus
* Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
