About the Role

The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner provides advanced, specialized mental health care by integrating the responsibilities of an Advanced Practice Provider with those traditionally performed by a physician. This role operates under collaboratively established medical protocols and within the scope approved by the Washington State licensing board.

Position Highlights

• Salary range: $130,000 – $160,000 (with potential RVU Incentive Bonus; higher for experienced candidates)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct psychiatric and behavioral health care, including crisis intervention
• Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and evidence-based treatments for psychiatric conditions
• Manage screening, treatment planning, medication management, and follow-up care
• Deliver behavioral health services across clinic locations to ensure continuity of care
• Lead specialty clinics or group visits (e.g., depression/anxiety management, behavioral health education)
• Support perinatal patients with screening and care coordination for mood disorders
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement mental-health programs
• Uphold confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and trauma-informed care standards

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted ARNP license in Washington with psychiatric/mental health specialization
• Board certification as PMHNP-BC
• DEA registration and prescriptive authority in Washington State
• Experience in psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapeutic interventions
• No sanctions or exclusions from federal/state healthcare programs

Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to learn and use Electronic Medical Record systems
• Strong communication skills for clinical and non-clinical audiences
