Senior Life Science Consultant, Science & Strategy

We are Sixsense Strategy Group, the Medical Affairs team within the Herspiegel Company, a boutique consulting company with a singular focus on the life sciences industry. Our strategic scientists collaborate to provide a unique and refreshing approach to strategy and medical communications. We work with a breadth of clients, with a sweet spot for companies that are launching new therapies or entering new disease areas and are looking for strategic partners. We have worked with US, Canadian, and European-based pharmaceutical and biotech clients on therapies in diseases with high unmet need.

We are currently looking for an experienced Medical Affairs Consultant to join our team. This is an intermediate-level, full-time role supporting client project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and gather, interpret, and organize scientific and business intelligence data for strategy projects
• Research and draft therapeutic area reports that capture scientific and business intelligence
• Manage preparation for facilitated client workshops
• Develop reports capturing the output of facilitated client workshops and interviews
• Research and summarize scientific literature, serving as a client resource on scientific content
• Lead client engagement and build long-term client relationships, managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Lead a team to facilitate successful execution of deliverables

Requirements

• 4-7 years’ experience in an agency setting or consulting firm with client exposure, preferably within the life sciences sector
• Able to start working full-time within 3 weeks of receiving an offer
• Able to analyze and communicate scientific information across different therapeutic areas at a level of detail appropriate for the audience
• Demonstrated analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and lead a project team to execute deliverables within stated timelines
• Proven writing/communication skills with high attention to detail in narrative reports and PowerPoint presentations
• Exemplary organization and time management skills
• Strong capability in juggling priorities to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality outcomes
• Proficiency in MS Office, with excellence in PowerPoint
• Legally able to work in Canada, with a valid passport and ability to travel to Europe and USA
