  • Support workforce planning efforts in collaboration with HR leadership and operations

2. Onboarding & New Hire Experience

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve onboarding programs that support early engagement, retention, and productivity
  • Ensure onboarding processes are accessible and tailored to the needs of employees who are blind or visually impaired

  • Monitor new hire success indicators (e.g., 30/60/90-day retention, early turnover trends) and adjust strategies accordingly

3. Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Lead the development and execution of employee engagement initiatives, with a focus on frontline and manufacturing employees
  • Design and administer engagement surveys, analyze results, and partner with leadership to implement action plans
  • Support programs that foster inclusion, belonging, and connection to BISM’s mission

  • Partner with supervisors and managers to strengthen engagement at the team level

4. Employee Experience & Retention Insights

  • Conduct stay interviews and exit interviews to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Serve as a resource to employees and managers on engagement-related concerns and opportunities
  • Identify and address barriers to retention, particularly within mission-critical roles
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to align engagement strategies with broader organizational goals

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategic Support

  • Collaborate closely with HR, Training, Accessibility, and Operations teams to ensure alignment across the employee lifecycle
  • Contribute to the evolution of BISM’s People & Culture strategy by bringing forward insights from recruiting and engagement work
  • Support internal communication efforts related to employee programs, initiatives, and culture-building activities
  • Assist in developing scalable processes and programs that support organizational growth and workforce development

  • 4–7 years of progressive HR experience, with demonstrated responsibility in recruiting and/or employee engagement.
  • Experience supporting high-volume, hourly, or manufacturing workforces strongly preferred.
  • Experience in nonprofit, mission-driven, or workforce development environments a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, operational environment
