Accounting Clerk Job Description

Oxford Hotels & Resorts is looking for a qualified, full-time Accounting Clerk to join our great team at our King George Property.

Oxford Hotels & Resorts is an award-winning full-service hotel management company with a long-term track record in the ownership and operations of large-scale hotels, resorts, and conference centers primarily in major metro markets within the United States. This portfolio experience includes a growing collection of independent lifestyle hospitality brands as well as properties affiliated with major international chains such as Hilton, Starwood/Marriott, Hyatt, and IHG.

We are looking for a dynamic person who is excited to join the team and has experience with payroll, opera and M3 system. The Accounting Clerk will develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support team to reach common goals.

Qualifications/Skills:

Essential:

• Collect and sort invoices and checks
• Perform accounting functions as assigned, such as recording, reconciling, and analyzing accounting transactions
• Participate in month end inventory counts, record inventory usage
• Supporting supervisory staff by performing any assigned accounting and clerical tasks
• Key in or type any documents or items that the accounting department is responsible for, including checks and invoices, as well as vouchers, accounting statements, and other report and records Revenue entry and data entry.
• Maintain a cash analysis (“checkbook balance”) schedule
• Balance daily cash between night audit/deposit slips
• Count house banks
• Approve purchase order (PO) requests
• Ensure purchases are made in accordance with PO and other hotel policies
• Provide vendor billing information, as necessary
• Process weekly vendor payment request
• Prepare any payroll related taxes, such as Healthy San Francisco Tax
• Ensure hotel licensing is up to date
• Provide internal information for internal management reports, such as daily, weekly, month end reports.
