The F&B Manager of Grand Bar & Salon is a dynamic nightlife leader with the ability to assist and maintain the evening energy and experience. This role goes beyond traditional restaurant management; focusing on room curation, guest flow, guest experience and atmosphere to create a space that feels intentional, elevated, and distinctly New York.

Under the guidance of Director of Food and Beverage, the F&B manager oversees F&B PM operations of the Grand Bar & Salon. 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Nightlife & Room Curation Focus

  • Ensure music progression matches the evolution of the night
  • Manage lighting levels, room transitions, and overall ambiance
  • Curate guest mix and table distribution to maintain energy
  • Be highly aware of who is in the room and why
  • Adjust in real-time to maintain momentum and avoid energy dips

Guest Experience

  • Deliver a luxury nightlife experience with strong NYC identity
  • Be present and visible; actively engaging with guests throughout service
  • Recognize VIPs, regulars, and high-value guests
  • Resolve issues immediately with confidence and professionalism
  • Create an environment that feels exclusive but welcoming

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop Team Members (TMs) in a nightlife setting
  • Conduct impactful pre-shifts focused on:
    • Energy and tone for the night
    • Guest profile and expectations
    • Key operational priorities
  • Ensure accountability across all roles
  • Provide genuine, professional service as defined by Soho Grand’s service culture.
  • Follow through with guest requests; ensure service is timely, accurate and maintains a high service       standard
  • Manage restaurant team members with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests
  • Maintain a meticulously clean/organized workspace, in accordance with look book standards set, and  inventory par levels
  • Maintaining ambiance, sound and lights (including public spaces)
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of experience working in high volume & luxury properties and fine dining venues
  • Excellent in guest service, and the ability to maintain professional service during peak periods
  • Knowledge of food and all allergies related to food and beverage
  • Food handler card
  • Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal
  • Provide legible communication
  • Advanced Microsoft office
  • Compute basic arithmetic
Have the ability to reach, bend, stoop, climb up and down stairs, carry multiple objects
