Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Deliver compassionate care as a Registered Nurse in a Stepdown unit, supporting patients who require close monitoring beyond the ICU. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment equipped with advanced specialties and comprehensive services. Location: Statesville, NC Key Responsibilities: * Monitor and assess patients transitioning from intensive care to general care * Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders * Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans * Provide patient education and support to patients and families throughout the recovery process * Utilize critical thinking to identify changes in patient conditions and respond appropriately Desired Experience and Qualifications: * Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with current NC licensure * Experience in Stepdown unit nursing or progressive care highly preferred * Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting * Commitment to high-quality patient-centered care Facility Overview:The facility is a comprehensive regional medical center boasting 355 beds and a variety of advanced specialty centers including Brain, Cancer, Heart, Lung, Orthopedics, General & Vascular Surgery, Surgical Weight Loss, Womens Center, and Level 3 NICU. The emergency department includes 32 beds, with additional inpatient rehab, surgical suites, and imaging services. Additionally, the campus includes a specialized 81-bed adult Behavioral Health Hospital. Candidates located 60 miles or more from the facility may qualify for travel opportunities with flexible arrangements.
